To tell you the truth I’m not good at these online journal things. But I think by having one it’ll help me keep track of my goals and thoughts. In this online journal I hope to jot down my thoughts, ideas, and goals. I also hope to share my knowledge with others as I venture into the world of business? This last sentence started out as a statement but then ended as a question for a few reasons.
- Turning a hobby into a job can burn you out and allow you to lose sight of why you have so much fun taking part in the hobby
- Going along the same line as point number 1 if I don’t call it a business perhaps I won’t get burnt out and I’ll always have fun?
- As you can see I’m pretty new at this business thing so like most everyone there’s much excitement and fears going into this but overall I am very excited.
With this blog I hope to leave the comments feature on so that I can also gain insight and clarity through talking with others. Please feel free to leave me constructive criticism, links to good resources, or questions to my posts. Any comments that are inappropriate will be deleted though. Through this blog I’ll be able to provide a good balance of resources for people who are interested in photography as well as updating you all on the inner workings and happenings at Facedown Photography.
At the moment my blog is just using a theme that I like that has many great features. Hopefully in the weeks to come as I continue to blog and feel confident of my online writing capabilities I’ll spruce up the blog a little and provide more features.
Well thanks for dropping by and I hope you’ll come back soon.
Hey Mike! I’m so glad you put a website up! Now I can really check your pictures out =) I’m glad you’re doing something with your skills and I hope you don’t burn out in having fun taking pictures. My co-workers asked me to take pictures of their children but I’m not that confident about it. Although they love the pictures I take. Haha. I can’t wait to see your pictures to come. ^^
Hey Judy! Hahaha yeah I’m glad I got the site up too. I hope I’ll get a constant amount of people to shoot. And that my photography skills will improve. You should do fine! Just make sure they aren’t sick, or hungry and that they took a nap! You should have an assistant with you as well. Preferably someone who has a lot of energy. Their parents are good supports usually since they know what to look for. Can’t wait to see what you come up with
Hey Mike
Digging the site! And thanks so much for SOLID PATH. It’s my first significant art purchase haha, and I can’t wait to hang it in my living space.
